Our Adult Creative Courses are a welcoming space to explore new techniques and grow your artistic confidence. Each course focuses on a particular method or style, with guided projects that introduce inspiring artists from past and present. You’ll learn practical skills while enjoying the freedom to experiment, interpret ideas in your own way, and develop a personal style. Every course ends with a unique final piece that reflects your creativity, giving you the tools and confidence to continue your practice independently.

All resources needed during the projects are supplied by the studio. Maximum 8 students per session.

3 Hour Workshop

Discover the expressive power of acrylic landscapes, inspired by the vibrant styles of Paul Cézanne, Camille Pissarro, and Vincent van Gogh. This immersive six-week course invites you to explore the natural world through colour, form, and brushwork, while creating a quadtych (4 series set) of acrylic-painted coasters that reflect a landscape of your choice. With a maximum of eight students per class, you’ll enjoy focused guidance and a warm, supportive learning environment designed to nurture both confidence and creativity.

6 Week Day Course

Discover expressive flower and leaf painting techniques inspired by Henri Matisse’s joyful floral works. Guided by his bold use of colour and playful approach to pattern, you’ll explore how simple shapes and vibrant brushstrokes can transform everyday motifs into striking designs. Using this knowledge, you will design and decorate a wooden A4 frame in acrylic paint, bringing your chosen pattern to life. This workshop is ideal for beginners eager to build confidence and express creativity with style.

3 Hour Workshop

During Evening Art Club, you will build artistic knowledge through sketchbook studies and technique pages, laying strong foundations in art practice. This four‑week block focuses on the principles and expressive power of colour theory. Together, we will explore colour wheels, experiment with harmonies and schemes, and investigate how colour choices affect the mood of an artwork. Alongside practical exercises, you will study artists such as Paul Klee and Sonia Delaunay, who used colour theory to striking effect. By the end of the course, you will take home a working sketchbook filled with your discoveries.
